LEDs Soon To Dominate Car Lights Market

When someone has made the switch to LED headlights from standard bulbs, you can spot them a mile off by the clear and pure white light that is being emitted from their car. These lights are more popular than ever now and selling faster than they can be produced. But why are these lights considered so much better?

Firstly they provide much higher quality light that aids driving. Wolfgand Huhn, Audi’s lighting exert said recently “everyone who has seen these lights in action is not only astonished by the excellent output but also thrilled with the homogenous distribution of light and the agreeable, daylight-esque colour of the light.”

The LED’s are much more efficient than older standard bulbs.  The average energy consumption of the lights in a car using normal bulbs is around 200w while a car fitted with the new LED beacon lights will only demand around 15watt of power. What this means simply is that their is less demand on the batteries and fuel consumption can be noticeably reduced. This is turn reduces CO2 emissions and goes some way to helping the planet.A great deal of money can saved as well by using LED lights, not just because your monthly fuel costs will go down but mainly because they should never need replacing.

Lastly, these innovative lights will act to increase driving safety. They can react up to around 12 times quicker than traditional bulbs and their superior light quality output means spotting dangers has never been easier. Your less likely to find yourself in the pitch black as their durability means failing bulbs are a rarity. These lights are now being utilized for both low and high beams and also for indicator lights meaning that their benefits can be multiplied and have a greater all round affect.

Oh No Iv Bought a Broken Vehicle Again

More and more, especially now that the credit crunch is looming on us, we begin to see garage owners try to make money. They simply do not care how they do it, they are in it to earn some quick money and that is about it. This is hurting normal working class people a massive amount as they are purchasing vehicles and then end up paying a fortune to get them fixed, this is especially worse if you have purchased the vehicle on a finance agreement, because you are left with a broken car and debt on your shoulders. But there is a vast array of things that you can look at doing to help get yourself out of this situation.

1) If the vehicle has broken before six months has gone from the purchase date, then you are in alot of situations allowed to send it back to the dealer and the finance company will then cancel the agreement and sometimes reimburse you for whatever you have paid to date.
2) Once the six month period is up then you are going to find it a little more difficult as you actually have to prove that the car was broken.

I actually think there should be a law when people decide to buy a car that it should be illegal to mis advise people about the vehicle in question and if it does become faulty then it should be repaired automatically by the garage that you purchased it from or they should actually be man enough to accept the responsibility of a broken vehicle and take it back for at least a gap of the first year, because if you are paying thousands for a car you do not expect it to break down constantly.

Be Smart use Electric Scooters

With the doom and gloom on the economy expected to continue to next year and perhaps will remain in the next 2 years have caused consumers to cut down on their spending. One of the big ticket items is actually transportation, in this case our private own cars which could leave a big dent on our monthly budget if the price of crude oil continues to be unpredictable. With rising living cost and job uncertainties, these are the things that we can possibly cut down. One of the ways to reduce our reliance on cars is to use alternative transportation such as public transport or electric vehicles eg. Electric scooter or bike. Electric scooters are particularly suitable for single working adult who live between 1-10 miles from their office. The price of an electric scooter is not expensive ad it ranges from £300-£3,000 depending on the type and model. Not only that it reduces the need for fuel consumption, it’s also friendly to the environment and I think it’s about time we do something for mother nature after all these years of taking from her. Electric scooters, which run on batteries that can be recharged from a domestic socket, are predicted to take off this year, as the price of fuel leaves many commuters with increasingly high transport costs. Zooming at 40 to 50 km per hour (about 20 miles) doesn’t seem like real speed these days especially with some modern sports cars and bikes that are capable to do 300-400 km an hour. But what if you do not need to pay for gasoline anymore to travel at the lower speed. I think most working class people wouldn’t mind the slower pace but could save hundreds or thousand of dollars per year on fuel is worth it all especially during the current economy climate. Well the good news is that we can do that now especially with the improvement of alternative fuel vehicles. We have the hybrid engine car where it has both electric and gasoline engine for better fuel consumption and friendlier to the environment and it’s also suitable for families with kids. However if you are single and looking for something economical to travel within the city, look no further, I highly recommend that you buy an electric scooter.

There have been a great interest in electric scooters in the recent years and a few new companies have entered the market. Two of them that have entered the market in the last month in a hope to cash in drivers that are being hit by the high price of petrol, combined with the increasing desire to cut down their carbon emissions. Ego and E-Max, both of whom launched their scooters last month, have had great success since they started selling their vehicles. E-Max has sold about 200 of its more powerful £2,760 vehicle in the last three weeks. One of the most popular electric scooters is Xtreme scooters. The price range for a new  Xtreme electric scooter is between US150 to 900 depending on the model. If you want a speedier scooter, I would recommend the Xtreme-XB500 and for the entry level, the Xtreme  X10 will be a good buy. Further more, most cities especially in the UK nowadays are offering free parking for electric scooters and its kind in order to encourage the people to switch to this type of transport. Another extremely popular scooter is the Ego. priced at about USD1000, the Ego’s bike looks astonishingly cheap and people might be willing to experiment with it to keep their cost of living low in the coming days.

Some of the electric scooters also have a motor-protected circuitry that enables the scooter to move ahead and gain speed even before the assist starts working. So when the throttle-switch is released, the unique design of the electric scooters allow the motor to coast or “freewheel” in a way most commonly seen in regular bikes. The electric scooters can be truly enjoyable as they have an easy acceleration that helps them to glide smoothly through heavy winds as well as climb hills smoothly.

There are obviously different types of scooters and I’m not talking about the brand or model but the general classification of electric scooters irregardless of the manufacturer. The first type is zappy or the lower end (entry level) scooter which can reach a maximum speed of 10-12 km an hour. Next is the flyer which could do up to 20 km an hour and it’s gaining popularity due to its maneuvering simplicity.  Finally the most advance type is the Voloci where it comes with many modern features like selectable performance models, quick-swap battery packs, key ignition.

How then does an electric scooter operate? It’s combination of electrical power from the batteries and feed it to the motor which the heart of the scooter. The speed is handled with a variety of switches and together with the handlebars and brakes provides the handling of the scooter. Some of the newer electric scooters come with computerised controls just like the modern cars to make the ride even smoother and safer.

The best way to know whether electric scooters are for you or not will be to try out one at your nearest showroom or retail shop. I can guarantee that once you ride it, it’s difficult to give it up. I was also once a sceptic but after seeing my friends and colleagues enjoying themselves with their scooters, I just didn’t want to be left out!

Enterprise Car Rentals Provide Reliable Cars

Many people don’t have cars.  It’s true, even in America there are still people who don’t have them.  When away from home people may need something to drive.  It’s rental cars to the rescue when people don’t want to put wear and tear on their car, or need a car for another reason.  When people do a car rental comparison often times they choose Enterprise.  these cars are reliable, cheap, and Enterprise car rentals will pick people up from home, the office or at the airport.

Enterprise can be found in every major city, as well as in not so major cities and towns.  Chances are wherever you are there’s an Enterprise there. They offer a variety of cars from sub compact all the way up to SUVs.  Some even offer sporty convertibles.  Hey, if traveling away from home and in a sunny location, why not add some enjoyment to the trip?  The rates are low.  It’s a fabulous deal when a car can be had for about $300 per week.  Do the math on this one. A person can commute to work every day via public transportation.  When cars are about $20 per day, on the weekends, run errands.  All the car needs are then taken care of for about $60 weekly.  Once price, insurance and all the other car costs are taken into account, under $3500 for a rental year is a lot less than owning.

Small businesses can take advantage of Enterprise’s fleet management.  Many businesses use cars for employee travel.  Fleet management is complex.  The cars much be purchased, maintained, and all the legalities such as insurance and registration apply to fleet cars too.  When a car becomes too worn for use it must be replaced.  It’s best for a company to keep its eyes on its main function.  That’s where Enterprise steps into the picture.

Enterprise even sells cars that have ended their life in rental fleets.  Enterprise maintains their vehicles well.  That goes counter to the impression of a car always driven by non-owners who really don’t care about it.  Enterprise imposes penalties to motivate customers to treat the cars well.  Also, they are maintained according to manufacturer specifications.  Private owners are often lax on maintenance, and their cars are the ones sold used by dealers.

Who knew Enterprise car rentals could have so many different roles and uses?

Mercedes Benz SL63 AMG Roadster. The luxurious mean machine.

Is there a perfect mix between a sports car and a touring vehicle?  Well there didn’t used to be, but the 2009 Mercedes SL63 aimed to change all that.

The SL55 made the game hard not only for competitors but also for Mercedes themselves. How where they ever going to improve on near perfect? The SL63 AMG is the answer.

It was sort of half expected that the SL will be more than 2 tons as it is as luxurious as it is as fast.

Almost 500 horses under the hood deftly take the Mercedes SL63 AMG Roadster from zero to sixty in under four and a half seconds – which will rival (or beat) many of the lighter and “sportier” cars on the road today – including the Chevy Camaro SS and the Dodge Challenger.A car that costs more than 4 times a Camaro will force the buyer to have high hopes.

It’s not just the competition from other car managers that the SL63 had managed to handle in direct comparison.By adding 20 horse power the SL63 is now a tenth of a second faster than the SL55 to 60mph and in completing the quarter mile.  This slight advantage (even with the SL63 carrying extra poundage over the SL55), helps put to rest the fear that the latest in the AMG line wouldn’t stack up to the “super” car in the luxury class.

The engineering and beauty of this car are truly at another level when compared to cars in the similar price range. In under 20 seconds you can have to SL63 transformed from formally "dressed" to casual with the hard top folding down.

No surprise in terms of the interior design, it is flawless.  Seat adjustments that could accommodate everyone from Jockeys to professional basketball players and everyone in between; a very user friendly, built in navigation system and heated seats complete with neck warmers are just a few of the amenities.

This Mercedes has superior power, superior handling and superior driver comfort – it is far and away the top of its class – in fact, at this moment it’s the only car in its class. While the SL55 was no doubt top of its class, the new model takes the league to new heights.
